Calling all Makers! 3D Print To-Go at the chbMAKERS’ Corner


The chbMAKERS’ Corner is now offering use of our Lulzbot Mini 3D printer from a distance. Please email YA Librarian Catherine Findorak ( with the 3D model in .stl file format and your desired filament color.  You will be contacted within 5 business days to schedule pick up of your print via our curbside pickup tent. 

Currently available PLA filament colors: Blue, Purple, Black, Red, Gray, Green, White, Orange

This service is limited to C.H. Booth Library card holders only. Individuals are limited to 3 hours of print time per week. Your print may be resized to fit this time limit. If your design must be resized, library staff will let you know before printing. 

Library staff are unable to assist with the designing of 3D models. The library is not responsible for the quality of your design.

To try to design your own 3D models, try TinkerCAD. TinkerCAD is free and offers tutorials to get you started.

Due to COVID-19, the chbMAKERS’ Corner is currently closed to the public. Please click here for the current status of Library Services. The chbMAKERS’ Corner is a gathering place where you can discover new skills, create your own projects and network with other makers in our community.

The chbMAKERS’ Corner is currently located just beyond the YA Department on the 2nd floor. In the fall of 2017 we received a Connecticut State Library Grant which allowed us to create a Makers’ studio with a beautiful mural designed by Toni Miraldi.

A generous anonymous gift, funding from GE Capital and fundraising efforts by the CH Booth Library’s Board of Trustees allowed us to purchase the equipment and supplies. chbMAKERS provides free access to new technologies and materials that allow you to learn new skills, create your own projects and connect with other makers in the community.
