Children’s Programs in September

Pre-school Storytimes on the patio

Weather permitting, we will be offering patio story times on Tuesday 11:00-11:30 am, for ages 3-5:  September 15, 22, and 29 and on Thursday 11:00-11:30 am for ages 2 to 3:  September 10, 17 and 24. You must register in advance on our website for each story time you wish to attend.  Class size is limited to eight children. Each child will have their own cube chair placed at the recommended distance from the other children.  We ask that children wear a mask while they are on the patio.  Classes are weather dependent, so please check our website or call the children’s department for last minute cancellations:  203-426-3851. Grab and Go Craft Curbside:  International Dot Day is September 15

Pick up your grab and go craft kit curbside and start creating. Be a part of International Dot Day on September 15. We have included some things to get you started, but do not let that limit your creativity. Pick up your craft kit during curbside hours in front of the library while supplies last. View Miss Nora’s video on YouTube for some inspiration.

We Grow Yoga:  Imagine Your Story: September 1 and September 8

Play, move, stretch and sing along with Miss Jennifer as you imagine the story, “The Carrot Seed,” by Ruth Krauss. For ages 2-8. Adults are encouraged to play along. Now available on the library’s YouTube channel.  Look for the video of “Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?” on September 1 at 10 am, and “Where the Wild Things Are,” will post to YouTube on September 8.
