Hank Meirowitz Virtual Photography Show
Hank Meirowitz, a longtime resident of New Milford and formerly CEO of a textile firm in New York City, is a photographer with a keen eye for composition and subject matter. His work has been shown in various galleries and libraries in the area and in New York City, notably his framed floral photos in the four windows of Bergdorf Goodman. His photos have graced the covers of local magazines and, years back, his photo of a young son on his father’s shoulders at Greenwich Village Art Show appeared in Life Magazine.
His passion for travel has led him to many exotic climes. He documents faraway lands and indigenous wildlife that many people have seen but not photographed. In the last fifteen years, his travels have included Russia, Poland Australia, France, India, China and Viet Nam and Cambodia, Turkey, Holland, Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Romania and ANTARCTICA. This last was his favorite, an once-in-a-lifetime experience where his love of the penguin really shone forth. His latest adventure, the subject matter for this show, was an exciting trip to the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, and their capital cities, Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn.
He is proud to bear the title of PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE PAMPERED PET and is a great lover of animals, using his talent to capture the personality of the subject big or small. Extreme close-ups, black or white, of the happy faces or full body shot of pet reclining and soulfully peering at the camera reflect the moods he tries to create in his studio.
For this virtual show he has selected a wide variety of animal photographs from his travels for your viewing pleasure. If you enjoy this diversion and/or want further information, please contact him at:
