Register for Summer Reading
Summer Reading is underway! Log your reading now and through August 31!
Visit chbooth.readsquared.com to set up your reading account. Parents need to register themselves as the adult, then add each child’s name, age, school and grade in the fall. Once your account has been established, simply log in when you’re ready to record the books you’ve read.
- If the book is less than 50 pages, choose “books” as your log-in option.
- If the book is longer than 50 pages, choose “pages.”
Be sure to include the title and the author in your reading log. You can earn digital badges throughout the summer. There will be no in-person reporting this year.
Pick up a “Summer Reading Bag To Go” bag (one bag per reader) at the table outside of the library during curbside pick up hours (no appointment necessary!) Please observe social distancing guidelines when you approach the table to get your bag. Inside you will find a necklace and beads to reward yourself for reading–give yourself one bead for every book you read. If you run out of beads, just give us a call: 203-426-3851. The bag will also contain a complimentary paperback book and a “Summer Fun Challenge” brochure.
In addition to reading, we’ve added something new this year: fun challenges!
Earn chances to win gift cards for pizza, toys, and books by completing one or all of the weekly challenges. Summer fun challenge entries can be emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Winners will be notified by email or phone, so please include your contact information. Let us know the activity you completed. We would love it if you shared a picture of your project that we could post to FB or Instagram with your permission. We will miss seeing all of you in the library, but let us know how we can help you achieve your summer reading goals!
