Volunteering at the Library

We are no longer accepting volunteer applications for Summer 2021. If you’re interested in volunteering with the library during the school year, check back in August. Send questions about volunteering to ya@chboothlibrary.org.

One Subject Art Contest

Open to Grades 5-12. Accepting submissions starting August 1.

To honor the beauty of this lovely old sugar maple tree, we would like to encourage tweens and teens in Grades 5-12 to stop by the library and create artwork inspired by it. We chose the subject (library tree!), you choose the medium. You can paint a picture, take a photograph, write a poem…anything! When you’re done, a Contest Entry Form and drop off your artwork to the library’s Young Adult department, or email ya@chboothlibrary.org. Artwork may be put on display in the YA department during the course of the contest.

Library staff and volunteers will then judge the entries and vote on their favorites. Prizes will be awarded to best overall and age group winners.
