Young Adult Department

Note: Due to COVID-19, the Young Adult area is not currently open to the public. However, we are still here virtually! Email ya@chboothlibrary.org for book recommendations, check our calendar for virtual programs, and follow us on Instagram!

The Young Adult Department is located on the second floor of the library. We encourage all tweens and teens to use this space to hang out with friends, work on homework, use the computers, and play games.

YA Programs

Coding, crafts, book clubs, and more! Check our calendar to see what’s happening in YA. Got a suggestion for a program? Email us at ya@chboothlibrary.org

Young Adult Council

The Young Adult Council (YAC) is a group of young adults in grades 6 through 12. We meet once a month during the school year to plan programs, do crafts, create displays and work on projects to help the library. Check our calendar for upcoming meeting dates.

Volunteering at the Library

Note: Due to COVID-19, our volunteer program is currently suspended. Please email ya@chboothlibrary.org if you would like to be notified when volunteer applications are being accepted again.

Need community service hours? Interested in helping the library? Individuals ages 12 and up may stop by the Young Adult Department or the Circulation Desk to pick up a volunteer application. Volunteers are chosen according to their skills, the availability of supervision by Library staff and the needs of the Library. Please email ya@chboothlibrary.org if you have any questions regarding volunteering.
